Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Accountant for a Fintech company based in UAE.

Location – Dubai, UAE

Salary 12,000 – 14,000 AED/month

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (2:1 or equivalent preferred)
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar)
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee data
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise across teams and external partners
  • Empathetic and professional approach to employee-related payroll matters
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first or international environment
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to take on broader finance responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer global payroll across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll data across HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring all changes are correctly reflected
  • Perform monthly payroll reconciliations and prepare payroll-related journal entries within the accounting system
  • Act as the primary liaison with external payroll providers and Employer of Record (EOR) partners
  • Coordinate with HR on employee lifecycle changes including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and leave adjustments
  • Maintain clear and auditable payroll records, processes, and documentation
  • Consolidate payroll data across subsidiaries and manage intercompany cost allocations and recharges
  • Support payroll-related audits, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness
  • Oversee employee share option register, including monthly accruals and reporting
  • Support share option exercises, working with legal and company secretarial teams to ensure accurate execution and reporting
  • Maintain company CapTable, including employee equity ownership
  • Prepare compensation data for annual reviews and Board-level reporting
  • Manage pension contributions and ensure timely processing through provider platforms
  • Monitor and reconcile payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all relevant deadlines and regulations
  • Partner with Finance and HR on compensation-related initiatives, including benefits, insurance, and payroll-related investments

 

About the Role:

We are seeking for a Payroll Accountant will take ownership of the end-to-end global payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing across multiple jurisdictions. Supporting a growing, international team, this role requires a highly detail-oriented professional who can manage complex payroll operations, partner with external providers, and collaborate closely with Finance and HR. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in maintaining payroll integrity, supporting compensation processes, and contributing to broader financial operations, including share-based compensation and headcount cost management.
