Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Manager (UAE National) for a Government Affiliated Entity based in the UAE.

 

Location – Sharjah, UAE

Salary 34,000 AED/month + bonus

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, freight coordination, and logistics planning.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics systems (WMS, ERP) and inventory tracking tools.
  • Ability to analyse logistics data and generate performance reports and operational insights.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS, PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma are considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Logistics Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with organizational objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Transportation Management

  • Oversee inbound and outbound transportation operations, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effective routing solutions.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Manage warehouse operations including inventory control, space utilization, stock accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.

Vendor & Carrier Management

  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, including third-party logistics (3PL) partners.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track key logistics KPIs such as delivery accuracy, shipment costs, and inventory turnover, and implement corrective actions where required.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and internal policies related to logistics and supply chain operations.

Technology & Process Optimization

  • Utilize logistics systems such as WMS, TMS, and ERP platforms to enhance operational visibility, automation, and reporting.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop logistics teams while promoting a culture of continuous improvement through Lean and Kaizen principles.

This position plays a key role in aligning logistics strategies with broader business objectives, driving cost efficiencies, and enhancing supply chain performance through effective planning, technology integration, and strong vendor partnerships.
