Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Scheduling Control Engineer (Saudi National) for a Global Construction Consulting Firm based in Riyadh.
Location – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Salary – 27,700 SAR/month
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Accounting from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project scheduling and control on major national and international initiatives.
- Extensive hands-on experience in developing, managing, and controlling complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, and schedule risk assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple project schedules in high-pressure environments.
- Proven experience presenting schedule strategies and recovery plans to senior management and government authorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills to secure schedule alignment across multiple parties.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Control
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management software.
- Establish baseline schedules and ensure alignment with project scope, milestones, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify variances, delays, and critical path impacts.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation and recovery strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Provide regular schedule status reports, dashboards, and performance analysis to project teams and senior management.
- Review and analyze project data to identify performance trends and recommend improvements.
- Present schedule plans, forecasts, and recovery strategies to senior leadership and relevant government authorities.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, and construction teams to ensure accurate schedule integration.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to align priorities and secure schedule commitments.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide expert input on scheduling and control matters.
Change Management & Documentation
- Manage schedule change requests, ensuring all changes are properly reviewed, documented, approved, and communicated.
- Evaluate the impact of scope changes on timelines and advise on corrective actions.
- Maintain proper schedule documentation and ensure audit readiness.
Budget & Resource Planning Support
- Support project managers in developing project budgets and resource allocation plans aligned with scheduling requirements.
- Ensure schedule forecasts reflect accurate manpower, procurement, and construction sequencing plans.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify opportunities to enhance scheduling processes and implement industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by line management.
