Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Management Engineer (Saudi National) for a Global Construction Consulting Firm based in Riyadh.

 

Location – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Salary 39,400 SAR/month

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in contracts management, including responsibility on large-scale construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia procurement law.
  • Strong background in:
    • Contract drafting and administration
    • Pricing and commercial evaluation
    • Contract law and negotiation
    • Change order management
    • Planning and scheduling
  • Thorough knowledge of prime contract administration and subcontract formation.
  • Understanding of execution office and field procedures in multidisciplinary construction projects.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Support the management of the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, implementation, administration, and close-out.
  • Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support negotiation and administration of change orders and contract amendments.

Commercial & Risk Management

  • Identify contractual risks and propose practical solutions to protect the organization’s interests.
  • Monitor pricing structures, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
  • Support evaluation and resolution of contract-related disputes and claims.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of contractual correspondence and decisions.

Contract Administration & Monitoring

  • Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely and compliant execution.
  • Conduct regular contract audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Track contractor and subcontractor performance in line with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and present performance reports with recommendations for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and project management teams to align contract terms with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide contractual guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support coordination between office and field teams on contract-related matters.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia procurement law and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of prime contracts and subcontract administration procedures.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in contract management and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and procedures.

About the Role:

This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s commercial interests by identifying contractual risks, supporting dispute resolution, monitoring performance obligations, and ensuring alignment between contract terms and project delivery objectives. The role works closely with legal, finance, and project management teams to drive effective contract execution and continuous improvement in contract management practices.
