Job Description

We are looking for a Senior HSE Officer for a government affiliated entity based in the UAE.

 

Location – Sharjah, UAE

Salary – 12,000 AED/month

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, Environmental Science, or related.
  • 8+ years in construction HSE, preferably on client or consultant side.
  • NEBOSH IGC + NEBOSH Diploma (mandatory); EIHS certification preferred.
  • Skilled in HIRA, CAPA, ISO 45001 / 14001, OSHA standards.
  • Strong reporting and field coordination experience.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and safety reporting tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Job Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international HSE standards across project phases.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and issue Non-Compliance Reports (NCRs) with follow-up actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, implement CAPAs, and report to management.
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) for high-risk activities.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, site drills, and response plan updates.
  • Review and approve contractor HSE plans, risk assessments, and training protocols.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, inductions, and promote safety culture among site teams.
  • Maintain HSE records, incident logs, and submit compliance reports to authorities and management.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Number of NCRs closed within required timelines.
  • Frequency and effectiveness of site safety audits and inspections.
  • Incident rate reduction (TRIR, LTI, etc.).
  • Compliance of contractor safety plans and documentation.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of HSE reporting and dashboards.

About the Role:

 

We are seeking a Senior HSE Officer to lead and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all real estate development sites, ensuring that construction activities meet UAE law, international standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and internal HSE protocols. The role enhances site safety, manages risks, and supports project delivery by mitigating incidents and ensuring operational readiness.
