Job Description

We are looking for a People Operations Specialist for a Bioinformatics start up powered by AI company based in Dubai.

 

Location – Dubai, UAE

Salary 10,000 – 15,000 AED/month

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • 2–5 years of HR or People Operations experience (UAE experience required).
  • Strong understanding of UAE labor law and willingness to self-learn HR norms in new countries.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; excellent documentation habits.
  • Fast learner who can independently research, adapt, and problem-solve.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist.
  • Excellent communication skills (clear, concise, professional).
  • Experience with HR systems/HRIS is an advantage.
  • Prior startup experience is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

HR Operations (UAE & International)

 

  • Manage daily HR operations and employee queries across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain organized and accurate employee records, contracts, and documents.
  • Prepare employment documentation (letters, contract updates, policy
  • acknowledgements, NOCs, etc.).
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for UAE-based and remote/global hires.
  • Research and understand new jurisdictions’ HR practices when the company expands
  • into them.
  • Coordinate with external partners (law firms, payroll providers, EORs, etc.) as needed.

 

Payroll & Benefits

 

  • Prepare monthly payroll inputs for UAE and coordinate payroll data for employees/contractors in other countries.
  • Track leave balances, attendance records, and entitlements in compliance with UAE law (and equivalent international rules when applicable).
  • Assist with benefits administration and insurance coordination.

 

Compliance & Governance

 

  • Ensure HR processes remain compliant with UAE labor law and maintain a high
  • standard of documentation across all countries we operate in.
  • Maintain clean internal HR policies and contribute to new SOPs as the company grows.
  • Keep personnel files organized, consistent, and audit-ready.

 

Employee Support & Culture

 

  • Serve as a steady, reliable point of contact for employees.
  • Support internal communications and help maintain a positive, transparent workplace
  • culture.
  • Assist with internal events, announcements, and engagement activities.

 

Cross-Functional Coordination

 

  • Work closely with PROs, finance, admin, and leadership across entities.
  • Support visa applications, renewals, and cancellations, and manage the related paperwork.
  • Coordinate with EOR/PEO services for international hires when needed.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion.

 

About the Role:

 

We are seeking for a proactive, resourceful, and highly organized People Operations Specialist to manage the day-to-day HR operations of a growing, multi-jurisdiction company. You’ll support HR processes in the UAE and assist with HR-related matters for employees and contractors in other countries as we expand. This role requires someone who learns fast, figures things out independently, and can navigate unfamiliar HR environments with structure and good judgment.
