Job Description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for a FinTech company based in Dubai.

 

Location – Dubai, UAE

Salary – 35,000 AED/month

 

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years in software engineering with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or senior tech role.
  • Proven ability to lead hands-on teams, manage delivery pipelines, and scale engineering processes.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated financial services preferred.
  • Experience with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, Git, CI/CD, and modern development tools, with the ability to adopt and integrate new technologies as needed.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java / Spring Boot, React.js, React Native, Flutter.
  • Deep experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub/GHAS), and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with SonarQube, Selenium, Terraform, and Camunda.
  • Experience delivering integration-heavy banking systems or regulated fintech platforms.
  • Strong understanding of core banking workflows, API connectivity, and B2B banking infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Hands-On Engineering & Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end deployment pipeline, ensuring CI/CD, testing, and release processes are robust and reliable.
  • Lead architecture discussions and contribute directly to backend, frontend, and mobile code.
  • Troubleshoot complex system, integration, or deployment issues in production and pre-production environments.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team across backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA.
  • Establish engineering standards, development processes, and a culture of accountability and ownership.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top technical talent.

Banking & Technical Domain

  • Work closely with the CTO and Product teams to deliver integration-heavy banking solutions.
  • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and compliance with banking regulations and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Collaborate on API-driven integrations with banks, vendors, and financial services partners. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Product, Compliance, and Operations to define and deliver the technical roadmap.
  • Communicate technical challenges and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the scaling of engineering processes and operational excellence across the platform.
