We are looking for a System Architect for a Bioinformatics start up powered by AI company based in Dubai.

 

Location – Dubai, UAE

Salary – Depending on Experience

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
  • PhD or research-level experience in AI, data systems, or applied computing is an advantage.
  • 10–15 years of experience in software and system architecture, including AI, ML, or data-intensive platforms.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Enterprise and Solution Architecture (TOGAF preferred)
    • AI/ML lifecycle management (MLOps, model serving, GPU optimization)
    • Cloud architectures – Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Kubernetes, DevOps), AWS (EKS, S3, RDS), or GCP
    • Microservices, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    • Programming: Python, C++, C#, and relevant AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Triton)
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, multimodal AI, and inference scaling.
  • Experience building high-performance systems for Smart City, Telecom, or Energy sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of data governance, DevSecOps, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to evaluate and customize Linux kernels, low-level systems, and edge device pipelines (e.g., RockChip, Raspberry Pi).
  • Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on technical ability.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Architecture & Design
  • Architect scalable, modular, and secure systems using microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
  • Design and integrate AI/ML and Generative AI systems, including LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multimodal inference pipelines.
  • Develop and oversee enterprise data platforms using cloud-native services (Azure, AWS, or hybrid multi-cloud setups).
  • Define and maintain system integration standards, data governance frameworks, and architecture blueprints (aligned with TOGAF or similar frameworks).
  • Optimize inference, model deployment, and edge computing architectures for real-time performance and cost efficiency. 
  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams spanning data engineering, AI, DevOps, and product delivery.
  • Mentor engineering teams on architectural principles, best practices, and modern engineering paradigms.
  • Serve as the technical authority in solution reviews, design decisions, and technology evaluations.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Applied Science teams to translate prototype AI models into production-ready systems. 
  • Innovation & Research 
  • Stay ahead of trends in Generative AI, LLMOps, cloud orchestration, and edge intelligence.
  • Drive experimentation and adoption of emerging frameworks (LangChain, Triton, TensorRT, or NIM) to optimize AI systems.
  • Spearhead proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot programs for internal and client-facing AI initiatives. 
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement 
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to translate client requirements into robust, technical architectures.
  • Engage with system integrators, cloud providers, and technology vendors to align architectural strategies.
  • Contribute to RFPs, pre-sales technical proposals, and client presentations.
