Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for a government affiliated entity based in the UAE.

Location – Sharjah, UAE

Salary – 14,000 AED/month + benefits

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in real estate, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects in the UAE or GCC
• Experience in both consultancy and contracting environments

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in LV, MV, ELV, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Skilled in AutoCAD and MS Office; experience in Revit/BIM is a plus
• Familiar with Sharjah/UAE regulatory frameworks and authority processes
• Knowledge of smart systems, energy efficiency, and sustainable electrical design

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input across all stages of the project lifecycle with a focus on safety, constructibility, reliability, and sustainability.
• Lead coordination with consultants, contractors, procurement, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
• Assist in value engineering, cost optimization, and risk mitigation strategies related to electrical systems.
• Assist in preparing design briefs and contribute to feasibility studies during project initiation and planning.
• Review and provide technical feedback on design submissions (Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, and IFC) to ensure authority compliance (SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) and alignment with international standards (IEC, BS, NEC).
• Support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, including reviewing BOQs, technical specifications, and responding to queries.
• Oversee site execution activities such as review and approval of electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspections, and coordination drawings.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover processes, including review of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and coordination with Facility Management for smooth transition and training.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to manage and coordinate the design review, procurement support, site execution, and commissioning of electrical systems across the company’s real estate and infrastructure development projects. The role ensures that all electrical works meet regulatory compliance, quality standards, sustainability goals, and overall project objectives. The Electrical Project Engineer plays a key part in technical decision-making, multi-stakeholder coordination, and the successful delivery of projects through all stages.
