Job Description
We are looking for a Merchandise Planner for a Furniture Company based in Dubai.
Location – Dubai, UAE
Salary – 8,000 AED/month
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in buying, product planning, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in Excel, ERP systems, and sales forecasting tools.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple products and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Buying & Procurement
- Assist in selecting and sourcing products based on market trends and sales data.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Place purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve product availability and cost efficiencies.
- Product Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop demand forecasts based on historical sales, seasonality, and industry trends.
- Monitor inventory levels, identifying risks of overstocking or stock outs.
- Collaborate with warehouse and supply chain teams to optimize stock flow and minimize waste.
- Assist in setting and adjusting pricing strategies based on cost, competitor analysis, and demand.
- Sales & Market Analysis
- Analyze sales reports and customer data to assess product performance.
- Identify opportunities for new products, promotions, or markdowns to maximize revenue.
- Conduct competitive research to stay ahead of market trends and pricing shifts.
- Work with the marketing team to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with merchandising, sales, and marketing teams to ensure product alignment.
- Support the design and R&D teams in product development when applicable.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and logistics teams to streamline purchasing and planning processes
