Job Description

Commercial Finance Controller is required in Riyadh on a permanent basis for a Global Digital Reality Solutions Company.

Location – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Salary – 40-000 - 50,000 SAR/month + family benefits

 

Requirements:

  • Degree with a specialization in Finance, Accounting or a related field/ Internationally recognized Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Must be based in the KSA at present
  • Operations and General Management/Government Relations experience
  • Previously worked in a Big 4 company
  • Has experience within Mergers and Acquisitions
  • At least 8 - 12 years of professional experience, preferably with 5 or more years in a similar financial role within a similar industry
  • Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Sage) and planning & reporting technologies (Hyperion, BIW, Tableau, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or external stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and nonfinance managers
  • Ability to travel as required - there is a considerable amount of travel required to fulfil this role
  • Fluent in English and command over other regional languages, especially Arabic, will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute the country financial strategy and direct all financial operations through effective structuring, planning and development to increase performance and facilitate growth in line with the organizations and regions strategic and growth objectives
  • Contribute to the development of country business strategy, challenging assumptions and decision-making and provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Business partnering senior stakeholders across a variety of functions to create genuine value add analysis of supply and demand of business services
  • Support with the planning and preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Collaborate with regional and/or corporate stakeholders, as relevant, to communicate financial strategies, performance, and analysis to Management
  • Support commercial negotiations from a finance perspective with the customers and channel partners (bids, tenders, etc)
  • Identify and analyse opportunities for cost savings that can be discussed with the senior management for implementation
  • Ensure review of compliance with regulatory requirements in terms of financial and operational activities and effective and timely reporting
  • Participate in the overall process of management and decision making within the company in order to contribute to their long-term development
  • Collecting and analyzing financial information and presenting it to management and business/regional/country leads
  • Review of economic data and predicting future financial trends based on strategic growth plan (MTFP, Business Plans, etc)
  • Developer of detailed pricing model unique for each business area. This includes understanding of products and solutions and profitability expectations for the business
  • Support finance leadership with developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk and improve profitability
  • Assessing financial requirement of customers and customizing pricing/models/reports to include the same
  • Review purchase cycle and analyze the Cash Flow and stock position on regular basis to provide corrective actions, if necessary
  • Prepare variance analysis and recommendations on monthly financial figures from business areas compared to budget and last year and issue reports as required by the management
  • Drive month end closing by analyzing trial balances, researching general ledger activity and variances to budget and prior year
  • Develop and improve processes related to expenditure, appropriate financial methods to better evaluate and measure performance
  • Develop understanding of the business context associated with value creation, translate financial and non-financial data into business opportunities
  • Coach and challenge the organisation to increase financial awareness to enable successful business decision making 
  • Assist the Finance Director in preparing reports for various key stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as requested by the line and functional managers 

About the Role:

The Commercial Finance Controller is responsible for finance and commercial activities undertaken across the EM EMEA region translating financial metrics into growth and value addition business initiatives. Partnering with the business and the key stakeholders in driving and improving business results by analyzing business and commercial activities to bring cost efficiencies and revenue generation is to the success of the role. This candidate would be responsible for Operations as well.
