Essential skills:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement within the F&B industry
• Experience with warehouse operations, including familiarity with label processes, stock allocation, and inventory management in a foodservice environment.
• Knowledge of multiple brands, catering services, restaurants, hotels, or cloud kitchens, with a deep understanding of the unique procurement requirements and challenges in the F&B sector.
• Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, with the ability to effectively utilize technology for procurement operations and data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to manipulate data, create complex spreadsheets, and generate insightful reports.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and present findings to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive projects to completion in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Supply chain management certification is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans tailored to the unique needs of the F&B industry. Identify reputable suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and pricing, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to meet operational requirements.
• Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers. Evaluate supplier performance, resolve issues, and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Inventory Control: Implement robust inventory management practices, including accurate forecasting, stock allocation, and efficient warehouse processes. Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste, reduce carrying costs, and ensure product availability to meet customer demand.
• ERP Systems Management: Proficiently utilize SAP or similar ERP systems to track procurement activities, manage inventory levels, and generate insightful reports for informed decision-making. Ensure data accuracy and system integrity to support business operations effectively.
• Reporting and Presentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate procurement metrics, performance trends, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders, including the CEO and executive team. Present findings regularly and contribute to strategic discussions on procurement strategy and business growth.
• Self-Motivated Leadership: Demonstrate initiative and leadership in managing both day-to-day procurement tasks and high-level strategic initiatives. Take ownership of projects, set clear goals, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
• Problem Solving and Advising: Proactively identify procurement challenges and inefficiencies, and propose innovative solutions and best practices to address them. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and drive process improvements that optimize procurement operations and support business objectives.
