Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Saudi National) for a Global Construction Consulting Firm based in Riyadh.
Location – Saudi Arabia (Multiple Locations: Riyadh, Jeddah, Qassim, Abha, Dammam, Madinah)
Salary – 25,000 SAR/month
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying within large-scale infrastructure or city development projects
- Proven experience in managing contractor progress payments and cost control processes
- Experience working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of project management processes, cost management, and commercial procedures
- Experience in tendering, contract administration, and claims/variation management
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong report writing and cost analysis capabilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- International project experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project timelines from initial design stages
- Review drawings and specifications to calculate material quantities, labour, and overall project costs
- Provide early-stage cost advice, benchmarking, and lifecycle cost planning
- Support the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Conduct cost analysis for variations and claims, providing recommendations on contractual matters
- Evaluate completed work and certify contractor payments, ensuring value for money
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
- Review and validate contractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and contractual compliance
- Track design and scope changes, updating budgets and forecasts accordingly
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants, engineers, and contractors to deliver cost-effective solutions
- Prepare and present regular cost reports, including budget status, forecasts, and risk assessments
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cost management
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and organisational policies
- Perform additional duties as required by line management
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage and control project costs across large-scale infrastructure developments. This role is responsible for ensuring cost efficiency from initial design through to project completion, providing accurate cost planning, budgeting, and financial oversight. You will play a key role in preparing cost estimates, managing tender processes, evaluating variations and claims, and ensuring accurate contractor payments. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors, you will support the delivery of projects on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
