Job Description
We are looking for a Scheduling Control Section Head (Saudi National) for a Global Construction Consulting Firm based in Riyadh.
Location – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Salary – 46,000 SAR/month
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in planning and scheduling within large-scale engineering and construction projects.
- Proven experience serving as Scheduling Manager or equivalent senior planning role on major projects.
- Extensive experience in schedule development, control, monitoring, and analysis in both field and office environments.
- Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and EPPM platforms.
- Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, contract administration, and startup work processes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical and non-technical planning teams.
- Proven ability to independently plan, organize, direct, review, and present complex schedule products with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of contract requirements and project control frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professional judgment and analytical capability in planning and scheduling.
- Experience in staff training, supervision, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated master project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
- Oversee monitoring and tracking of project progress against established milestones and baselines.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and variances; develop and implement mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Review and analyze schedule performance data and provide executive-level reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project control procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop scheduling control staff; allocate workloads effectively within the section.
- Conduct schedule reviews in both field and home office environments.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to maintain accurate and updated schedules.
- Analyze existing planning processes and improve operational efficiency where required.
- Ensure all scheduling activities comply the company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.
- Support claims avoidance and risk management through accurate schedule documentation and analysis.
- Attend and lead planning meetings as required.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project controls and scheduling.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.
About the Role:
