We are looking for a Sales Director – Europe for a Manufacturing company based in Dubai.
Location – Remote (EU based)
Salary – Depending on Experience
Qualifications:
Experience
- 12+ years of B2B industrial sales experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within:
- Traction systems
- High-voltage power electronics
- Power modules
- Gate drivers or related industries
- Proven track record of securing large, complex, multi-year contracts in European markets
Industry Network
- Established, high-level relationships within:
- European rail OEM ecosystem
- Major industrial infrastructure and energy players
Leadership & Management
- Demonstrated ability to attract, coach, and motivate high-performing field sales professionals
- Experience operating in high-growth or startup-like environments
- Strong P&L ownership and revenue accountability
Technical & Commercial Competence
- Ability to articulate complex technical product value to executive decision-makers
- Strong understanding of customer technical environments, performance metrics, and compliance requirements
- Excellent negotiation and strategic deal-closing capability
Education & Languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- German, Spanish, or French language skills highly advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Expansion
- Develop and execute a comprehensive European sales strategy for traction products including transformers, rectifiers, and converters
- Target major rail OEMs (e.g. Siemens, Alstom, Stadler) and build credibility with operators such as DB, SNCF and Renfe
- Expand into the European industrial power sector, including renewable energy, energy storage, and hydrogen applications
- Establish scalable sales systems and processes aligned with European best practices
Team Leadership & Market Orchestration
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional field sales team
- Build and implement a centralized Inside Sales function for lead qualification and commercial support
- Serve as the European market advocate, aligning customer technical requirements with internal R&D and manufacturing teams
- Foster a performance-driven, entrepreneurial sales culture
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Own and deliver the European P&L with ambitious but achievable growth targets
- Manage the full “Concept-to-Contract” lifecycle for multi-million Euro design-in projects
- Implement and optimize sales productivity tools, forecasting models, and CRM processes
- Drive accurate pipeline visibility and strategic account planning
About the Role:
We are seeking a Sales Director – Europe, you will spearhead the company’s strategic expansion across key European markets including Germany, Spain, Turkey, the UK, Italy and surrounding regions. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for positioning the company as a Tier-1 supplier to major European rail OEMs and industrial infrastructure players. You will lead regional sales operations, own the European P&L, drive large-scale multi-year design-in opportunities, and act as the commercial bridge between European customers and the company’s R&D and manufacturing teams in India. This role requires strong techno-commercial alignment, strategic thinking, leadership capability, and a results-driven mindset.
