Job Description

We are looking for an Architect for a government affiliated entity based in the UAE.

 

Location – Sharjah, UAE

Salary – 16,500 AED/month + benefits

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design Software (AUTOCAD), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop etc.), and rendering software (Rhino, Sketchup, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic Language (written & spoken) to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, and team members; strong presentation skills to convey design concepts and ideas clearly.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Architecture 6 of which are local experience with a portfolio demonstrating a range of completed projects, specifically in specialized sectors relevant to the company's focus, such as hospitality, retail, or public spaces.
• A strong design portfolio showcasing creativity, technical proficiency, and an understanding of current design trends; Experience with sustainable design practices, materials and familiarity with local culture, aesthetics and design is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Site Analysis & Research

Conduct site visits to analyze site conditions and assess feasibility for new projects. Perform research on updated design principles, new construction technologies, and urban planning policies.

 

Project Coordination

Collaborate with engineering and project management departments on various projects. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for project reviews and approvals.

 

Design Initiation & Brief Development

Collaborate with internal teams to identify project factors such as budget, timeline, project programme and overall design direction to develop visual briefs accordingly.

 

Design & Drafting

Prepare architectural designs using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software as per project requirements. Support in the development of 3D models and renderings for project visualization.

 

Design Review

Review & provide feedback on the presentations and drawings submitted by consultants and contractors, ensuring they meet project goals and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Stakeholder Communication

Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders (operators, government officials, etc.). Prepare and present design proposals to internal committees and external parties when needed.

 

Regulatory Compliance & Site Inspections

Review architectural submissions from consultants for compliance with our vision, requirements, and standards. Conduct routine site visits to monitor progress and adherence to design.

 

General

Perform other tasks as directed by the higher management.

About the Role:

 

Deliver successful outcomes in the assigned architecture scope of projects that vary in type and scale. The role will entail defining project scope, creating designs, engaging with internal stakeholders and external consultants, reviewing submissions and undertaking site inspections, while ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
