Job Description
Business Head (Food Service Solution) for a family holding group in Oman.
Location – Oman
Salary – 2,800-3,500 OMR/month
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Post graduate in Sales/Marketing/Business Administration
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing and leading teams especially in FSS/HORECA (FMCG)
- Candidate with HORECA experience in Oman/GCC preferred
- Excellent Sales skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills, and team player
- Intermediate level Excel skills and adept at handling/working with Sales data independently
- Excellent English Language proficiency along with presentation skills
- Arabic language proficiency will be added advantage
- GCC Driving License
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop commercial strategies in consultation with the top management to grow the FSS Division business as the Number 1 FSS business/provider in the Sultanate of Oman offering full suite of Food Service Solutions
- Lead the sales operations team to deliver budgeted top line and bottom line numbers
- Monitor the implementation of Sales Fundamentals as per FSS Business Objectives. (Divisional profitability, Trade negotiations and agreements)
- Prepare annual budgets covering detailed volume estimates, headcount allocation, expenses on overheads, capital expenditure projections etc
- Conduct periodic reviews of performance against plan and re-establish forecasts
- Manage negotiations with Business Partners on core issues like gross margins, pricing structure, and promotional expenses (if any)
- Directly responsible for controlling inventory through hands-on forecasting and ordering keeping in mind lead times variances, stockholding, payment terms etc
- Identify and obtain relevant new business opportunities specifically by adding new customers from Star Hotels & restaurants to drive channel growth and division IMS
- Evaluate the trends in Tourism and Hospitality sector in Oman, GCC region and propose, oversee and implement necessary addition to the FSS Division portfolio to the HORECA segment in Oman
- Develop strategic customer-specific category plans focusing on the areas of category assessment, product rationalization, and promotion analysis
- Establish and implement relevant organization structure; recruitment of staff, overseeing their training and development and recommend promotion or termination of staff
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure that the sales team is continuously updated on progress against plan, set period objectives, obtain feedback and communicate / Cascade Company highlights
- Lead sales team towards achievement of budgeted sales targets delivering net profit through optimum use of overheads and efficient management of working capital
- Operational control on expenses, stock, debtors, creditors, exceptional customer transactions
- Conduct appraisals for direct reports and monitor appraisals of all staff in the division, succession planning, establishing training needs and plans to address these needs
- Educate and develop team members on the KAM skills, principles and tools for effective planning, negotiation skills, analysis of MIS related to P&L
About the Role:
The prime objective for the person holding this role is the achievement of the annual sales volume and revenue objectives i.e, managing of profit & loss, cash flows set as per the forecasted annual budget. The role spans all the HORECA categories in and is designed to ensure that each of the categories and brands achieve their stated objectives on an annual basis. The person holding this position will be responsible and accountable to the Commercial Head/General Manager for all aspects of both the business and people development necessary to sustain the business in the medium to long term.
